Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

A warm mug of homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, perfect for a cozy fall day.

Ingredients:

  • Two tablespoons of pumpkin puree

  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (plus a pinch for topping)

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Two tablespoons sugar (or to taste)

  • 1 cup milk (any kind)

  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso

  • Whipped cream (optional)


Yields: 2 lattes

Total Time: 15 minutes


Instructions:

  1. Pumpkin Base: In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and sugar until smooth and heated through about 2 minutes.

  2. Add Milk: Stir in the milk and vanilla extract. Heat the mixture, whisking constantly, until it's hot but not boiling. If you have a milk frother, you can froth the milk at this stage to create a nice foam.

  3. Combine with Coffee: Pour the strong brewed coffee or espresso into a large mug, then add the pumpkin-milk mixture. Stir gently to combine.

  4. Top and Serve: Top your latte with whipped cream and a pinch of pumpkin pie spice for extra flavour. Serve immediately and enjoy!


This homemade version uses real pumpkin puree, giving it an authentic flavour perfect for cozy fall days.
