We all laughed at first — it was so sudden, so matter-of-fact. But then we paused. The truth of it landed. His words were simple, but they carried weight.

As parents, we spend a lot of time teaching and guiding, but there are moments when our kids surprise us with clarity that cuts right through the noise. This was one of those moments.
