TurnBack Time

Sometimes you stumble into a place that feels like a little bit of magic — and for me, that’s Turn Back Time in Duncan, BC.

I first visited to pick up a Marketplace stand, but it quickly became much more than a simple stop. From the moment we pulled up, we were charmed by the colorful hand-painted mushrooms that line the walkway. Julie, the owner, makes these herself and even customizes them — a whimsical touch that instantly made me smile and sparked new creative ideas.

Inside, the shop is filled with vintage finds, handmade treasures, and pieces from local vendors. It’s the kind of place where every corner holds a surprise and every item feels like it carries a story. But what stood out most was Julie herself. She radiates warmth and positivity, and it’s clear she cares deeply about the community she’s building through her shop.

Turn Back Time also offers craft classes and clubs, giving both kids and adults the chance to explore new skills and connect with others. For me, it planted the seed of possibility — new ways my family might connect with creativity and community.

This visit left me inspired, grateful, and eager to return. Sometimes the best local gems are the ones you weren’t expecting to find.
